Name: Tessa Belle Cunningham
Nickname: Tess [called by brother only]
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Physical Description:
Tessa is average... normal, standing about 5'5", and athletic, almost boyish in shape. Her features are sharp, but softened and her skin is an obvious ivory, somewhat tanned to perfection. Her hair, thick and shining, falls in golden waves past her shoulders, and she is incredibly proud of her hair. Her hair is what takes her so long in the mornings to get ready. Makeup wise she loves to play up her amazingly bright blue eyes, and has become a pro at applying it. Her smile can be anywhere from happy to cheesy, she has many different smiles. Her body is toned from...well mostly tiedious hours of practicing soccer. She happens to be practically obsessed with the sport, so she works hard to win and get where she wants to, and she also regularly runs around the park on Saturday mornings.
You coulds say that she has the typical, cute, girl next door look to her, but she has a wild side. She as a child was intrigued by the fashion world, and became increasingly intrigued by fashion, and her fashion choices reflect that.Hher fashion choices are incredibly polished. She can go from bohemian hippie chic, to pretty and girly in a second. She loves accessories, and jewelry, and you could easily call her a fahionista.
Her facial features are soft yet defined. Her blue eyes stand out emensely...especially if you count when she is feeling incredibly happy or mischievious. She is the type of person who doesn't simply smile with her mouth, she smiles with her eyes as well. She has a particular smirk for when shes feeling flirty, or sarcastic, which she can easily do. She isn't afraid to take risks to look her best. Her hair, as said earlier, is her best feature in her opinion, and she often does radical things to make herself stand out, while keeping her hair pristine and perfect.
Usual Outfit:
Power Outfit: -none-
Personality:
Tessa is, what one would call, extremely extroverted. She loves to have fun, probably more than anything in the world. Overall, she is down to earth, snappy, and loves to flirt. She inherited most of her personality from her mother, thought there was a strong sense of nobility that she got from her father. Her mother had a strong sense of stubborness and boldness to her, while her father was much more easy going, and quite noble hearted. She is the perfect blend of both her parents, and stands proud of that fact.
When it comes to her friends, shes incredibly loyal. She is incredibly bright and bubbily, and extremely witty and sometimes even sarcastic, but down to earth and sweet nonetheless. She has sass, and attitude. She has an incredibly rough temper, but usually only when she needs to be defensive of her friends, or herself. Don't mess with her really, or her friends, because she will kick your ass! She is incredibly headstrong and independant, and she is so stubborn that things have to be her way, or she'll make them her way. She isn't high maintenence, but she just likes thing in her own order. She does things to the beat of her own drummer, and to enemies, can come off as a total pregnant dog. She is also ectremely competitive and has to be number one, always and forever, making sports the absolute most fun a girl can have, she is out there, playing her postition, and is always training when she's bored.
While she does have wild side that she shows off to the world, she is also incredibly sweet, and around her friends, and the people that she generally likes to be around, you see a completely different side. Still as sarcastic and witty as before, she is always seemingly the crying shoulder for her friends. She is an amazing listener, and is even better at giving advice. She is also incredibly realistic, and will, rather bluntly, not be afraid to tell you your faults.
After her discovery of Tessa's powers, she kind of became a different person. No longer outgoing and energetic but quiet and lonely. She rarely wants to hang out and has grown to draw a lot now. Sketching and sometimes painting.
Villain or Hero: Villain
Power(s): Shapeshifter
History:
A cool September breeze brought in Autumn, and a young life into the world. 1986 was a good year. The year that Batman was released, the Tiannamen Square protests happened, and Rain Man won the academy award for best picture...but most importantly, this was the year that Tessa was born. The baby, born happily with no complications, was the second child born to the Cunningham couple. Her mother requested a simple thing; no C-section. Which was fine because really...everything turned out okay. Her name, Tessa Belle, was derived from two things. Tessa came from the original name Teresa, her grandmothers name, and Belle, which came from her mothers favorite movie, The Beauty and the Beast. Belle meant beauty, and that was nothing short of what she was.
Her early childhood years were spent close to her parents, travelling with her parents and her big brother, Travis. The two were doted upon, and got everything and anything that they wanted. She loved her early childhood. The two had the best tutors, even at such a young age, had the best schools and the best of absolutely everything, and she liked it that way. She had a certain fascination with Nancy Drew novels, and always wanted to do just what she did. She had a whole bookshelf filled with Nancy Drew books, and that was her one idol in life, besides her mother.
Then the day, around mid Freshmen year, when she spotted her biggest crush with her worst enemy. At the moment, she was jealous of her, rather then hate her. And after moments of just staring at the two locked lips, Tessa furiously wished she was Amber, holding hands with Chris. Not even a second later, she felt someone's tongue slid into hers. Opening her eyes, Tessa found herself kissing Chris, hands wrapped around her neck, but the hands skin tone was different. It was lighter and glowing, and seeing, she saw herself in Amber's body.
After that, she was completely scared and ran straight home, looking at herself in the mirror and wishing more then anything that she could resemble herself again. Not a second later she saw her skin jumping into shape until it was herself once more. Amazed, but still terrified, Tessa didn't tell anyone about her power, instead, she began using it to her advantage. After a few weeks, her brother, Travis, came to her, showing Tessa his abilities. All this time she was happy and glad she was the only one with powers. It made her feel special but the fact that he told her about his restrained Tessa from telling him about hers. It didn't feel right.
After four years of high school, Tessa left home one day, trying to find answers to this abnormal power she received. It was only a few months after her brother left her and felt alone and hasn't spoken to much people. She found out on news that there are others out there like her. Unfortunate for her, she met with the wrong group of people, otherwise known as the villains. They convinced her to stay and that they're sole purpose to is be treated right and until someone listens, they're going to show how powerful they can become before they get what is rightfully theirs. Three years os alliance still didn't change the way she felt towards humanity. It was nothing but a cruel, fearful bunch of dirt.
Rp Example:
Belle's favorite pasttime was boy watching at the beach. And it didn't hurt that the sun was giving her an awesome tan either. The usually pale girl loved the summer for the sole reason that she could finally be a little tan without having to work as hard. Lay out in the sun for a few hours, she was good to go. Her hair hadn't gotten wet yet, so it was still in perfect curls. She was here alone today, well at least for now. Until she spotted either a; someone she knew or b; someone she wanted to know.
But until then, she would stay put. She was simply laying on her towel, Prada sunglasses shielding her eyes from the sun, and reading the latest US Weekly magazine. Something about Paris Hilton most likely. Paris Hilton, in Belle's opinion was most likely to suck; at many things actually. [Laugh at the pun...ahahah...Paris Hilton sex tape joke. I hate Paris Hilton. Sick of her. Ick] She flipped the page to find a rather gorgeous looking Matthew McCoughney surfing, which was definately something she wished she could be looking at in real life.
When she finished the magazine, she pulled out a book she carried with her. One of the first things James had ever given her. She kept it with her like an obsessed Catholic would keep a bible. It was a book of quotes, and James over the years had added quotes upon quotes he'd heard, or even said himself in it. She had always kept it with her, but hadn't looked at it in forever. Forever meaning the first time they 'dated'. When they had dated before things...things had ended horribly. There wasn't cheating involved, but there was definate lying from the both of them, and it had taken them time to get back to being happy with being friends.
But now...this whole...Friends with Benefits thing? If Belle was being honest with herself she would know its just a tactic of running scared, but she just...passed it off as wanting to have fun and not be tied down. She knew she loved him, she had a feeling she always would...but right now? She didn't want to have to be afraid or vulnerable that her heart would be broken. So for the first time in months, almost a year, she opened the book of quotes and notes. As soon as she opened it up, she found herself picking up the picture that fell from it. A picture of the two of them. A picture that, incedentally, had been her favorite picture of all time. She stared down at the picture with disbelief...she didn't believe in signs...did she?
