Name: Leon Kenneth Richards
Nickname: Coma, Coma Boy, Leo the Lion
Age: 18
Gender:Male
Physical Description:
Before the accident that placed him in the position he is now, Leon was a healthy young teenager who's physical frame was lean and strong. Leon's eyes always looked full of life through those blue peeper's while his light sandy hair just seemed to show life in the young teen. After spending months in the coma state he was in, those eyes seemed down and more pale while his youthful face filled with light specks of a grizzled beard. His hair seemed untidy and gave him the appearance of an older man. Just recently he had just woken up to the world from his closed state of mind. The beard that filled his face out was shaved clean due to the itchiness it brought on. The pale complexion along his bare skin and the cropped cut on his untidy hair had given Leon that former youthful look yet made his appearance seem more fragile to to his pale complexion.
Clothing:
Leon isn't the most stylist or flamboyant person you'll ever meet. Leon's general appearance can be swamped with jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, long coats and usually a pair of basketball shoes on his feet. Most times he just grabs the first thing in sight before heading out the door to get away from his overbearing parents.
Personality:
Leon is the kid that everyone would rather ignore and pick on than take the chance to hang around or get to know while growing up. His quiet demeanor had allowed him to find solace in reading and writing during his spare time over the course of his young childhood. His ability to find forgiveness in others hearts was always a strong positive part of his life until the day everything changed his life. The whole process of hanging onto life by the inch of his beating heart had brought on a hardship he couldn't seem to escape.
From carefree scared little boy to a confident caring soul to a down right depressing moody fella had brought many changes to those around him. Leon had found himself falling hard on his sleep patterns and vibrant dreams of a world that existed in his own head. His downright moody self was very tempertive and very explosive anger had brought his family to seek help for the young man in anyway shape of form they could. Even with the pleas from what little friends and from all his loved ones, Leon just never seemed to take in any of the attempted help at all. Only time will tell if Leon would ever find his inner peace and be that happy go lucky person he was before everything changed for him.
Power(s):
The Ability to recreate his own world through his thoughts into reality has given the young man so very unique powers. But due to the fragile state that comes from recreating this world he can't contain the world for more than 10 minutes before he becomes drained of his strength. The longer he holds it the more it slowly kills him.
History:
It all started back in the day when Leon Kenneth Richards was born to Troy and Kelly Richards. To his beaming parents he was there precious bundle of joy. Leon lived a semi normal childhood except for the small trips to the hospital for various illness here and there. For most of kindergarten and elementary school he would become the fragile young kid who was teased and taunted just cause he was one of the smaller kids in class. He spent many times at home in his families home just outside Buffalo, New York. For times spent with his parents, his pug Snoopy and the quiet times in the backyard under the old oak tree while writing or reading.
As time went by over the next few years Leon would slowly start to peek away from his fragile ways to slowly develop into the young man he was supposed to be. All through Junior High he would find comfort in sports especially basketball since it was the one sport he found interest in while growing up. Even as a young five year old kid, he could remember the smile that filled his face with every bounce of the ball and every shot he took to the basketball net his father installed for him. Leon never was the greatest ball player but found comfort in his own ability to enjoy the sport. With time his sandy hair grew and helped bring out his handsome facial features.
Leon found that life started to turn and that his faith was starting to be answered. People started to break away from all the teasing to respecting Leon while friends slowly started to come into his social life. Then faith seemed to bring him down once again when his parents had told him they were moving to New York City in Brooklyn due to their jobs. Leon felt down and out after the move and had taken comfort in taking anti-depressant pills to keep those depressed moods out of his life. Things took a turn for the worse when his pills reacted to another medicine that he was taken for another illness. Leon landed in the hospital for a week before the next year he dedicated to getting better.
Being seventeen finally was the first time in his life that Leon actually was happy to be a year older. His problems seemed in the past while his life was completely back on track. Less than three months after his seventeenth birthday, tragedy had struck. Walking along Central Park with a few friends and making his way across the street while they had the walk sign, a speeding car had come out the corner and struck Leon at full speed. Leon's motionless body had flown over the car and landed with a nasty thud to the pavement below. Leon's friends had feared he was killed instantly by the gruesome accident before an ambulance was called for him. He was rushed to the nearest hospital and was surgical worked on right away. It took a long twelve hours before Leon was declared in stable but critical condition.
He laid there motionless in his hospital bed before he slipped into a coma. His folks feared he never was gonna awaken again. Months grew by before a freak electrical storm had over taken the hospital. The life support system that Leon was hooked up to was overcharged by the storm and a pulsing shock was sent into the comatose boy. Two months after that accident it was then first that Leon first started to awaken but he never awoken in his own reality but in a vast strange world that seemed to come from his own brain waves. There had been reports that the driver that caused his accident had never been found but somehow had managed to hear about Leon's still critical condition.
Fate had brought the maniac behind the wheel to visit Leon one late night. Soft sobs in Leon's brain were heard that seemed to come from the driver while they seeked forgiveness. Under some strange universal power, he managed to suck this driver into his world and used his unique ability to punish the driver by strangling them to death with a conjured noose. Once Leon's brain fell back to sleep, the driver was shot out dead of the comatose boys world before a passing nurse would discover the dead adult by his bedside. Almost a year after his accident the first signs of life appeared when Leon suddenly awoken. His eyes peered in fear before anyone discovered he had awaken. Many months of grueling physical therapy followed suit before he was finally allowed to make his first steps out the hospital. The mystery of that driver's death were still in the air while Leon never had a clue that he walked out the hospital with a new ability.
