The room where TJ lay flat on his make shift bed was dark and gloomy. It felt so black and sinister, not a glint of sunlight could be seen. Because it was the weekend and so late into the evening, nearly everyone would be off doing their own thing. No matter how hard he tried, TJ just couldn't get comfortable. Maybe it was the fact that he was sleeping in a cave-like room in the middle of noisy New York, or that his brain was trying to tell him to get up off his butt.
Soon enough he was up into a sitting position and was scratching his head while yawning. He walked towards the window and pulled open the curtains. The sunlight was happily beaming into his face and spilled into the room, brightening every wall, corner to corner.
Knowing that he was never going to be able to get any sleep just yet, he set off to the tiny bathroom and proceeded to freshen up a little, splashing his face with water and promptly drying.
TJ crept past the other doors as soon as he exited his room, not wanting to disturb anyone else, especially the rat land lord.
There had been several times where TJ had gotten a little...turned aroundlost in the massive city that the he lived in, it wasn't entirely his fault, he wasn't a big city kinda guy and all the streets looked the same.
“Hocrap.”
With the wide streets, someone still managed to collide with him, TJ had fallen flatly on his backside colliding with the hard concrete. "Oh my god!" he grumbled rubbing his behind.
Make this at least the second clumsy and idiotic thing TJ has done this year. He blinked a couple of times before glaring at the person he had bumped into.
"I'm sorry. I didn't- Where in the hell am I? I think I'm a little lost. He continued to rub his sore back. The glare from the rays of sun were blinding TJ so it was hard to make out who the person was.
